J.D. Semmes is the author of The Viper and The Rose (Rise of the Viper Queen Book 1). J.D. earned a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from Campbell University. Shortly into her career as a preparedness coordinator, she fell ill and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Forced to leave her career to focus on her health, J.D. passed the time by letting her mind wander off on enchanting adventures found inside books. She is now a stay-at-home wife and mom to two adorable pups. When she is not reading or writing her own adventures or volunteering at her local SPCA, you can find her curled up with her pups watching horror movies, planning her next Disney trip, and wishfully hoping that this will be the year she finishes her TBR list.
